Job Description Summary

As a Commission Program Manager, you will drive Sunbelt’s commission programs and plans across multiple sales channels and rep types, serving as a subject matter expert for Sunbelt’s Specialty Division sales commission plans as well as provide strategic guidance for future plan development. You must be highly motivated to perform a wide variety of tasks where a high degree of accuracy, process thinking and attention to detail are needed. You will independently lead and assist in the planning and coordination of cross departmental projects and tasks including planning and implementing a variety of the company's concepts, practices, and procedures as outlined by corporate officers. In addition you will develop strong and credible relationships with PCMs, DMs, RVPs, SVPs, and Executive Management.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage Sales commission programs/processes as well as the development of ongoing and new plans as required. • Develop extensive and complex database models and maintenance tools to improve efficiencies and assist with commission related decision making tied to ongoing performance and staffing levels. • Form and lead comp plan steering committees/task force meetings as needed to ensure behaviors align with corporate goals. • Ask effective questions driving behaviors that align with corporate goals.• Steer field comp plan suggestions into alignment with core commission philosophies while balancing regional variation. • Align Sales Support processes with CRM platform to drive both strategic and tactical opportunities to field management. • Lead and independently manage projects with IT related to Commission programs. • Develop initiatives to improve sales effectiveness through reporting and tools including field management input and training. • Manage process improvement tools with vendors and seek to consistently optimize relationships that tie to the best interests of Sunbelt. • Manage all commission reporting as it relates to territory and account specific based rep compensation. • Design and build extensive database queries and fulfill complex data extraction requests for multiple departments. • Coach additional resource(s) in commissions processes and lead them in supporting in ongoing projects. • Lead the enhancement of Sales Analytics Support mailbox and phone support communications related to specialty commissions. • Build and shape SQL based KPI reports and other performance metrics. • Lead the process of monthly/quarterly goal development and reporting. • Build and maintain commission data cube. • Liaise with IT Development Group regarding commission reporting changes and communicate those to department and executive management regularly. • Provide functional guidance in goal setting processes and training in conjunction with regional field resources and their respective sales rep initiatives. • Manage and evolve Dun and Bradstreet data clean/match/append process. • Supply direct functional and/or reporting guidance to one or more employees. • Maintain relevance and enhance Sunbelt’s level of sophistication with ongoing product improvements. • Periodic travel to provide constructive guidance on commission plans and other program improvements. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline. • 6 to 8 years commission plan management/development or similar experience. • Database concentration or experience a plus. • Ability to manage priorities/multiple projects while working unsupervised for long periods. • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as internal and external customer service skills that translate into professional and courteous relationships. • Must be organized, highly motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong time management skills. • A track record of meeting deadlines and process requests in a timely manner is a must. • Capacity to work under pressure and intermittently take on heavy workloads is critical. • Must possess the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and coach/supervise a junior level Commissions Assistant. • Microsoft Office: Excel, SQL, Access, PowerPoint. • Microsoft CRM• WynneThe physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
