Senior Prep Technician in Burnaby at Sunbelt-Rentals

With offices across the country, Sunbelt Rentals Film & TV services productions of all sizes from coast to coast and houses an extensive state-of-the-art inventory. Our job is to help bring the magic of storytelling to life, by supporting our clients as their go-to Partners in Production.

Responsibilities:

• Front facing customer service skills; dealing directly with client requests in a timely manner.
• Pull and check-out orders ensuring all equipment is complete and in working order.
• Assist clients during preps and wraps with exceptional technical support and customer service.
• Assist with processing the return of camera equipment, including determining possible missing or incomplete equipment and performing technical inspections for potential damages.
• Prepare equipment for shipping to other rental locations, manufacturers, or vendors.
• Provide guidance and support to other Prep Technicians as the Senior member.
• Liaise with Customer Service Representatives regarding adds, drops, and changes to orders.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of equipment, storage area, and general department work areas.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a camera rental house.
• In-depth technical and mechanical knowledge of current digital imaging and related camera equipment/accessories (ARRI and SONY specifically).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a solution-focused attitude.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours/shifts when needed.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously when needed under minimal supervision and with initiative.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
