Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. has a job opening for the position of Senior Software Engineer based out of its location in Fort Mill, SC.

Job Duties:  Deliver advanced-level quality code that solves user and business problems in a flexible, scalable way. Own a medium to large piece of a system or product, delivering scoped projects with limited supervision while maintaining other production systems. Demonstrate conceptual knowledge of databases, front end technologies, and asynchronous development. Implement new features and modify existing features across a variety of customer-facing and internal business applications. Provide feedback, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with other engineering teams, user experience design, and product teams. Review and test code before deployment, performing unit and integration testing. Perform bug fixes and support troubleshooting efforts to debug complex problems. Deploy various technical approaches or implementations applying understanding of software performance implications. Contribute ideas that inform broader team initiatives and technical strategy. Engage with business functional teams and senior leaders to determine business requirements and translate them into creative and effective solutions for key applications.  

Requirements:  Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in computer science, software engineering, or related engineering field; plus 24 months of experience in job offered, or in a position involving web development. Requires demonstrated experience in: Web development with Node.js, React and similar modern JavaScript frameworks; Supporting and documenting build, deployment, and configuration changes throughout environments using industry standard tools; Setting up and configuring build servers and build agents; .NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS, and GraphQL; Relational databases (SQL Server, MSSQL, MySQL or similar technologies); Web servers (Apache, IIS, or Nginx); and Agile/Scrum development cycle. Also requires knowledge of Git, industry standard system architecture, and system management tools.
